Interview: ‘The Loved Ones’ Director Sean Byrne

One of the best films I saw this year is Sean Byrne’s The Loved Ones, which premiered at the “Midnight Madness” portion of the Toronto International Film Festival. This past week we posted our exclusive one-on-one chat with the director about his Australian horror thriller that can be read by clicking here. Brent, a 17 year old student, still grieving for his father, declines an invitation to the school formal from Lola, the quietest girl in school. When Lola and her father kidnap Brent he must fight to survive the macabre celebration they have in store for him.
