Paramount Thinking Outside of the Box for ‘Paranormal’ Sequel?
While this isn’t anything new, the Hollywood Reporter writes that Viacom’s Paramount Pictures is looking at a sequel to current hit release Paranormal Activity. Given that a follow-up release wouldn’t have the same element of surprise as “Paranormal,” it will be key to craft a smart approach to a sequel, CEO Philippe Dauman told analysts. “Our team will come up with the right creative and marketing approach,” he added. What cracks me up is that they’ll never learn. After Blair Witch 2, you’d think the suits wouldn’t go that route again. I wish betting were legal, I’d put all my eggs in one basket that they f*ck it up and it fails.
