Summit Entertainment and Participant Media are teaming on Invasion, snapping up a Ben Magid’s sci-fi spec script. “Invasion” is described as a sci-fi action movie with an environmental theme. Logline’s under wraps. Participant and Summit will co-finance and Summit will distribute. Magid’s first sale came in 2006 when New Line his horror pitch Pan and set it up with Brooklyn Weaver’s Energy Entertainment banner. Story’s a backward take on J.M. Barrie’s “Peter Pan” with supernatural elements. Magid also wrote a draft for the adaptation of horror comicbook Hack/Slash.
