The Weinstein Company Looking for New ‘Halloween’ Pitches

With the plan to put Michael Myers in 3-D, it only made sense to bring on a duo like Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer who already have experience in the 3-dimensional world. The duo collaborated on the successful My Bloody Valentine 3D and are now working diligently on Drive Angry, the new action thriller starring Nicolas Cage. It was announced a few months back that they would be reteaming once again for Halloween 3D, although Bloody Disgusting has learned that the Weinstein Company is out seeking a new angle to take the franchise. While the project is open to pitches, there is no word on the fate of both Farmer and Lussier, which is a shame because it would be quite refreshing to see people who LOVE the genre heading deep into Haddonfield. We’ll keep you posted on further developments, although the Weinsteins are really making a name for themselves as a company who can neither make up their mind nor get a project off the ground (only time will tell if Scream IV actually shoots).
