‘Piranha 3D’ Has its Ass Kicked Out of April
While Dimension Films had just started their campaign for Piranha 3D with the trailer premiering in 3-D in front of James Cameron’s Avatar, the studio has apparently got cold feet pulling the Alex Aja directed remake from its April 16 slot. The LA Times is reporting that it has nothing to do with the Weinstein Company’s recent financial woes, but that the studio is fearing the power of Lionsgate’s teen comic book adaptation Kick-Ass, which appeals to the exact same audience. The new date? August at the earliest Brutal. Check out some cool behind-the-scenes stills we posted yesterday.
