Danish horror anthology Adorable Humans weaves four tales of terror based on Hans Christian Andersen‘s classic children’s stories, and Screen Anarchy has shared the international trailer.
Adorable Humans will premiere globally on August 31, via Digital platforms like iTunes/AppleTV, Amazon Prime, and Google TV.
In the horror movie, “As supernatural forces slip through the cracks, four destinies are intertwined, and four souls are forced to confront their demons. A young woman’s hope for a fresh start is derailed by a mysterious enchanted mirror, while her psychiatrist is struck by visions of a terrifying accident. In the nearby city, a care worker uncovers dark and perverted secrets as he tends to a dying man, and writer’s block turns demonic for an ambitious musician.”
Directors Anders Jon, Michael Kunov, Kasper Juhl and Michael Panduro give Andersen’s works a much darker spin with their contemporary anthology.
Albert Rudbeck Lindhardt, Mille Maria Dalgsaard, Mie Gren, Peter Høgsbro, Sus Wilkins, Marinus Refnov, Adam Ild Rohweder, and Iben Skau star.
Adorable Humans launched its festival run coinciding with the 150th anniversary of Andersen’s death, playing at fests like Fantaspoa, Night Visions, Grimmfest and Macabro.
And it comes home to Digital at the end of the month.
