Some disappointing news was posted over at AICN who just had a friend report back from an early taping of the “Late Show with David Letterman” where star Bill Murray was on hand to talk Ghostbusters III. The insider confirms that “they kill him in the beginning,” while also adding, “[Murray] doesn’t believe the movie will get made.” When I asked if Murray sounded serious about Ghostbusters III not getting made, AICN got this: “Yes. It was a “I’ll believe it when I see it” tone.” Bummer. If Columbia Pictures ever gets it off the ground, Ivan Reitman is said to return to the helm with a new breed of Ghost Busters being passed the torch. Worst case scenario is we have a brand new Ghostbusters screenplay to read thanks to Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky. My imagination rules (see below), how about yours?
