Who knows what the fate of the film will be once the MGM auction is all sorted out, yet we’ve still got to keep our fingers crossed for the January 14, 2011 release of The Cabin in the Woods (now in 3-D! LOL), Drew Goddard’s directing debut that is said to provide a new twist on a classic scenario — in this case the young-people-stranded-in-the-woods horror trope. The filmmakers have been tight-lipped, but co-star Amy Acker let slip a little nugget of gold. “There’s a lot of scary monsters,” she revealed giving weight to the recent rumors that the project is actually a massive creature feature. Unfortunately we won’t know more until closer to the film’s release (assuming it actually happens). Any guesses?
