Here’s Your Updated Horror Schedule For March

I assume you’re busy preparing for a deluge of horror games releasing over the coming weeks — starting with Alan Wake’s American Nightmare that’s available right now — but if you could spare a second I’d appreciate it. There are five horror games releasing over the next month, and I’m pretty sure that’s a record. We’re lucky to get five horror games in a year, but in the first three months of 2012 we’re looking at eight, including Amy (XBLA), Resident Evil: Revelations (3DS), and Alan Wake (PC).

Assuming you’re not picking brain matter off your keyboard after all this awesome caused your head to explode, you should know that there’s been a slight change of plans. Now two horror games will be going head to head in the battle for gamers’ wallets. Check out the revised release schedule after the break. TODAY! – Alan Wake’s American Nighmare (XBLA)
March 13 – Silent Hill: Downpour (PS3, 360)
March 20 – Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City (PS3, 360, PC), and Silent Hill HD Collection (PS3, 360)
March 27 – Silent Hill: Book of Memories (PS Vita)

I should also mention Silent Hill: Downpour’s incredible soundtrack, composed by Daniel Licht (Dexter), that releases alongside the game on March 13.

I’d like to know which of these games will be day one purchases, and what are you going to wait for? Also, stay tuned for our co-op review of American Nightmare coming later this week!
