After a saddening $5.3m opening for Warner Bros. this past weekend, there has been much debate as to what exactly happened with their live-action adaptation of DC Comics’ Jonah Hex. With the film originally directed by Jimmy Hayward, the studio brought in I Am Legend helmer Francis Lawrence for extensive reshoots. Friend of BD Borys Kit posted a lengthy look at this summer’s latest disaster over at his Heat Vision blog where he reveals some of the massive changes, while also reflecting on what Hollywood can learn from this atrocity. It’s a great read; I highly recommend clicking on over. Oh, and as always, make sure to write your review of Jonah Hex — although, I’d say it’s safe to say you didn’t even see it.
