Miles Fisher, best known around town an Ari-esque talent agent in the short film spoof Pinkberry: The Movie, is the first name attached to the Steven Quale-directed horror film Final Destination 5. Slated for a 3D release August 26, 2011, the sequel opens with a suspension bridge disaster and is said to involve a laser-eye surgery sequence. Eric Heisserer (The Thing, A Nightmare on Elm Street) penned the screenplay with hopes of breaking out of the repetition of the first four movies, and staving off a mummifying franchise.
