J.J. Abrams’ ‘Super 8’ Goes Behind Cameras Next Month

For those of you wondering the status on the J.J. Abrams/Steven Spielberg mega-project Super 8, filming is set to begin late September in Weirton, West Virginia, reports Production Weekly. With Abrams behind the camera, this Amblin throwback is said to be cast with unknowns and will revolve a bunch of kids who are shooting a movie with a Super 8 camera in the seventies or eighties. When they develop the film, they notice that there’s an alien creature in the frame. Booya! Paramount will release in the summer of 2011.
I love you trailer.
