Ray Liotta (Identity, Hannibal), Ving Rhames (Dawn of the Dead, Piranha 3D) and Christian Slater (Alone in the Dark) are set to star in the indie The River Sorrow, which is to be helmed by Rich Cowan from a script by Steve Anderson. The pic centers on a detective, played by Liotta, on the trail of a serial killer. Slater will play an FBI agent overseeing the case while Rhames is Liotta’s friend and captain. Gisele Fraga and Sarah Ann Schultz are also signed on. Cowan, Tay Voye, Dan Toll and Schultz will produce the thriller that begins lensing next week in Washington.
