Another little gem hiding within a LA Times article reports that John Ajvide Lindqvist, the author of the novel on which vampire hit Let the Right One In was based (itself remade as the Chloe Moretz movie Let Me In), has another book; this one is about zombies and is called “Handling the Undead” (our review). They report that the rights will soon be shopped to U.S. studios. Expect news on feature plans in the coming months. “Undead” begins in Stockholm where the power grid has gone crazy. In the morgue and in cemeteries, the recently deceased are waking up. One grandfather is alight with hope that his grandson will be returned, but one husband is aghast at what his adored wife has become.
