Quietly going into production late last year, director Francis Ford Coppola has been tight-lipped on Twix Now and Sunrise, his indie genre feature starring Val Kilmer, Bruce Dern, Elle Fanning, David Paymer, and Ben Chaplin.
All that is known is that the picture’s fulcrum is Kilmer, who plays a horror novelist. The film is based on a short story written by Coppola. It was shot in Napa, on Coppola’s property.
Coppola finally opened up about the project to Empire admitting that “It’s part personal film, part Gothic romance, part Halloween show. If I can present it the way I want to, it is something that’s never been done before,” he tells the site.
That still tells us literally nothing, but the buzz words were enough to make my nipples hard. Thoughts? (not on my nipples.)
