Friends Turn on Friends in Suspenseful ‘Loft’

Anonymous Content has found the first of several leading ladies for its edgy thriller Loft, as Aussie actress Isabel Lucas (the hottie from , Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen) is in negotiations to join the ensemble cast, writes Variety.

Patrick Wilson (Insidious), James Marsden (The Box, Straw Dogs), Wentworth Miller (Resident Evil: Afterlife, Underworld) and “Modern Family’s” Eric Stonestreet are set to star in Erik Van Looy‘s English-language remake of his own 2008 Belgian pic.

In a very Hitchcockian plot, “the pic follows five married friends who share a loft where each of them bring their mistresses. When the body of an unknown woman is found in the loft, they begin to suspect one another of murder.

Lucas will play “Sarah,” a naive young beauty who unexpectedly comes into the lives of the five friends.

A Nightmare on Elm Street scribe Wesley Strick is adapting Bart De Pauw’s original screenplay. Production is expected to begin later this spring.
