Early Blu-ray Bites: ‘Hellraiser II’ and ‘Jurassic Park’

Originally released as part of Anchor Bay’s Lament Configuration box set, Image Entertainment will be releasing Tony Randel-directed Hellbound: Helraiser II on Blu-ray September 6 as part of their new “Midnight Madness” series. No extras have been revealed.

In other early news, The Digital Bits reports that Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park trilogy is finally getting a HD release in the near future. The films have been playing on cable in HD, so it was only a matter of time before they received a proper release via Universal Home Entertainment. While it’s set to street during the holidays, no specs have been revealed. It’s also unclear if Spielberg will be involved in the development of the set, although it’s highly unlikely considering the time frame. They better not up-convert the DVD release or heads will be rolling.
