Daybreakers star Ethan Hawke has signed on to topline The Exorcism of Emily Rose director Scott Derrickson’s untitled horror-thriller pic, from Insidious and Paranormal Activity producer Jason Blum, writes THR.
Blum’s Blumhouse/Possessed Pictures is producing the genre film with Brian Kavanaugh-Jones’ Automatik Entertainment, a joint venture of Alliance Films and IM Global. Charles Layton is executive producing.
Derrickson (The Day the Earth Stiid Still) begins shooting the micro-budgeted horror-thriller on September 19 from a script he co-wrote with C. Robert Cargill. The logline is being kept under tight wraps.
