Posters for ‘Grave Encounters’ and ‘Last Circus’

Playing in New York and Los Angeles on August 19 with an August 25 VOD debut to follow comes The Vicious Brothers’ Grave Encounters, which now has the following lackluster one sheet. “The cinéma-vérité style supernatural thriller follows a ghost-hunting reality television show host and crew as they shoot an episode inside an abandoned psychiatric hospital, where unexplained phenomena have been reported for years. All in the name of good television, they voluntarily lock themselves inside the building for the night and begin a paranormal investigation, capturing everything on camera. They quickly realize that the building is more than just haunted – it is alive – and it has no intention of ever letting them leave.

Also beyond the break, Magnolia Pictures has released the official poster for Álex de la Iglesia’s Spanish-language The Last Circus. Starring Carolina Bang, Santiago Segura, Antonio de la Torre and Fernando Guillen-Cuervo, “In the midst of the Spanish Civil War, “happy” circus clown is interrupted mid-performance and forcibly recruited by a militia. Still in his costume, he is handed a machete and led into battle against National soldiers in this twisted tale of love, revenge, and psychopathic clowns.” It opens in limited theaters on August 19.
