Wave Goodbye to Sanity in Full ‘Kill List’ Trailer!

Published

One of my own personal most anticipated of the year is Ben Wheatley’s Kill List (review), which stars Neil Maskell, Michael Smiley, and MyAnna Buring and will premiere at FrightFest on Sunday, August 28 and open in UK cinemas on September 2.

Early this week a slew of social networking sites were launched – official website, Facebook and Twitter – along with the promise of the full trailer. After a few teaser videos, inside you’ll now find the full trailer featuring bad people who deserve to suffer.

The pic is about a group of demobbed soldiers turned contract killers who run up against a devil-worshipping coven.

Beginning 8 months after a disastrous job in Kiev left him physically and mentally scarred, ex-soldier turned contract killer Jay, is pressured by his partner Gal, into taking a tough new assignment. As they descend into the dark, disturbing world of the contract, Jay begins to unravel once again – his fear and paranoia sending him deep into the heart of darkness.

Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) is staying busy here in 2024, directing not only the werewolf movie Big Bad but also an upcoming thriller titled Drop.

The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.

Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.

Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”

Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.

Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.

THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
