Comic-Con ’11: ‘The Darkest Hour’ Teased in New Comic

io9 score an exclusive look at the cover of “The Darkest Hour” comic/art book, created by 13 great artists who were inspired by the alien invasion film, The Darkest Hour. With the cover by “30 Days of Night”‘s Ben Templesmith, contributors include Brian Churilla Tom Fowler, Mateus Santolouco, Nathan Fox, Brian Hurtt, Jeremy Haun, Ron Chan, Nathan Fairbairn and more.

You can visit Ben Templesmith’s Comic-Con booth (#4500) today to pick up his limited edition poster from “The Darkest Hour” collectible comic book. Only 1,000 available! The book itself will not be released until later this year.

In theaters December 23, the thriller starring Olivia Thirlby, Emile Hirsch, Rachael Taylor, Joel Kinnaman and Max Minghella is described as a 28 Days-like thriller that “follows five young people who find themselves stranded in Moscow, fighting to survive in the wake of a devastating alien attack.
