‘Scalene’ Gets Blu-ray and DVD Release November 8

Published

on

If you click over to Along The Tracks Productions website you can now order Scalene on either Blu-ray or DVD. It arrives on November 8.

The film is told from three points-of-view, and is best described as a perceptual thriller that revolves around a mother’s revenge after her mentally-challenged son is accused of a sexual assault by his student caretaker.” It stars Margo Martindale (currently Emmy Nominated for her arc on the F/X Series “Justified”, Showtime’s “Dexter”, Million Dollar Baby), Hanna Hall Rob Zombie’s Halloween), and Adam Scarimbolo (Stake Land).

Now available for pre-order exclusively through the Along The Tracks site, the film will be released on DVD and Blu-ray November 8th, and several VOD platforms in December. Scalene is filmmaker Zack Parker’s third feature, following Inexchange and Quench, and was the Winner of the Grand Jury Award for Best Feature at this year’s Los Angeles-based film festival Dances With Films.

We are doing something different with the release of ‘Scalene’. I went the ‘traditional’ distribution route with my first two films, and though I’m pleased with the exposure they received, I feel there is a better way to go for most indie filmmakers today. The internet has opened everything up and the way audiences are finding films is changing on almost a daily basis. I want to give ‘Scalene’ time to find an audience, and at the same time, want to be able to adjust it’s release as platforms evolve. Like most independent filmmakers, I have controlled every aspect of the creation of this film from inception to completion. It just doesn’t make sense to me to turn over the reigns to someone else when it’s time to get it out into the world.

The teenagers soon understand what evil they’ve released as they are overcome with an assortment of horrific experiences. With fiendish followers invading suburbia, it’s now up to the kids to discover the secret that can lock The Gate forever . . . if it’s not too late.
