AFM ’11: ‘The Descent’ Ripoff Heads ‘Underground’

Get ready to step into hell with the crazy new creature feature Underground, which looks reminiscent of The Descent. First announced back in March of 2010, the film is finally being sold at the AFM. Check out the old trailer above, with the new promo and art inside. Directed by Rafael Eisenman, Christine Evangelista, Jenna Hughes, Megan Hensley, Ross Thomas and Sofia Pernas all star.

In the film a group of friends fight for their lives against lethal and ravenous creatures lurking underground. The group will find themselves at the mercy of creatures genetically engineered by the military to be expendable in battle. They are stronger and faster than humans and can destroy their enemies with their bare hands and teeth. These creatures survived in the dark, eating whatever flesh wandered into their lair. Though they fought countless battles in Iraq, Matt and Storm never knew real fear until they went underground.
