The Lincoln Memorial Becomes Throne To ‘Vampire Hunter’

The Lincoln Memorial has an entirely new meaning now that Twentieth Century Fox has released a third one-sheet for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Timur Bekmambetov’s 3D historical retelling in theaters June 22, 2012.

The new poster features Benjamin Walker as the 16th President of the United States sitting on his Memorial throne. “President By Day. Hunter By Night,” states the tagline. In addition, above the poster we’ve embedded a new behind-the-scenes video taking us on the set of the historical retelling that also stars Anthony Mackie, Dominic Cooper, Rufus Sewell, Robin McLeavy, Robin McLeavy, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jimmi Simpson and Alan Tudyk.

The story revolves around the president’s quest to rid the world of vampires, presented as part of the conflict behind the Civil War.The film explores the secret life of our greatest president, and the untold history that shaped our nation. As a young boy, Abraham Lincoln witnesses the shocking death of his mother, leading him on a path to an ongoing war – and ultimately to the presidency – he chronicles in a hidden diary. The journal reveals the incredible story of a clandestine warrior who never stopped fighting for the country he led and the people he loved.
