TV: “Revolution” And “Midnight Sun” Bulk Up Their Casts

“Revolution” continues to cast up. The hour-long thriller penned by “Supernatural” creator Eric Kripke and exec produced by J.J. Abrams (Super 8, Let Me In) and Bryan Burk. The project is described as a “high-octane action drama that follows a group of characters struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist.

Last week we reported that Giancarlo Esposito had been cast, now Deadline has the update that Billy Burke (Mr. Swan In Twilight, New Moon etcetera…) has joined the cast. As previously reported, Jon Favreau (Iron Man, Cowboys And Aliens) has been tapped to direct the pilot.

Also continuing casting is Midnight Sun, who as added David Harbour (The Green Hornet) to their ensemble. He joins previously announced thesps Julia Stiles, Emma Bell and Titus Welliver. The show “follows the mysterious disappearance of Midnight Sun, a group living on a cult-like commune in Alaska.
