With Chernobyl Diaries set to hit at the end of the month we’re getting more and more media ramping up to the Oren Peli (Paranormal Activity) and Brian Witten-produced horror survival film. This latest clip from Yahoo takes a look at the trend that gets the protagonists of the film in hot water to begin with – extreme tourism. The characters in Chernobyl are embarking on a version of this travel fad when they enter the Ukraine hot zone. The clip starts off with footage of real world extreme excursions before blending into the setup for the film. All set to “No Reflection” by Marilyn Manson.
Directed by Brad Parker, the film stars Jonathan Sadowski, Devin Kelley, Jesse McCartney, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Nathan Phillips, Ingrid Bolso Berdal and Dimitri Diatchenko In the film, “A group of friends become stranded in an eerie and desolate city. Years before in the aftermath of a nuclear disaster, nature has begun to reclaim everything. As the sun sets on this radioactive ghost town, inhuman cries cut through the night air. It seems they are not alone.”
Chernobyl Diaries hits May 25th from Alcon and FilmNation. Head inside for the clip!
