Meet Mr. Boogie In The ‘Sinister’ Trailer Premiere; Live Chat NOW!
Summit Entertainment has provided Bloody Disgusting with a first look at the official trailer for Sinister, the Ethan Hawke supernatural horror from Exorcism of Emily Rose director Scott Derrickson.
In theaters October 5, “Hawke plays a true crime novelist who discovers a box of mysterious, disturbing home movies that plunge his family into a nightmarish experience of supernaturalhorror.” We caught an early look at the film back in March at the SXSW Film Festival. Here’s our review.
But wait, there’s more! Star Ethan Hawke, director/writer Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose), producer Jason Blum (Insidious, Paranormal Activity) and writer C. Robert Cargill are participating in a live twitter chat. Right. This. Second. The chat is being moderated by @SummitEnt. You can tweet your questions with the hashtag #SeeSinister.
Head inside to check out the trailer and then hit up the Twitter chat!

That looks pretty awesome. Reminds me a lot of ‘Insidious’.
WOW! that DOES look really good! i agree it’s very INISIDIOUS (and i don’t mean that in a bad way). i’m sold. this looks great!
Looks pretty decent to be honest.
the visual scares are excellent. curious to see this!
It looks pretty good, but I guess it sucks – has anymore seen the poor review on this site?
I liked it. The other review is mixed (which I can understand) – but the movie worked for me.
This would have looked a million times better if the antagonist wasnt an evil clown named mr. boogie. I feel like I’m being shyamalan’d… “Well, my 5 year old drew a creepy picture one day, so it inspired me to create an entire feature film around it. You’re welcome, Ethan Hawke.”
I think this looks good, gonna check it out!
WTFFFFF>.. now thats some scary shit
hope it remains scary and isn’t cheese
hopin for the best. WOuld of been amazing if that dudes face would of jumped out at you when the footage died at the very end
This actually looks pretty good. I’m not really a fan of the look of this Mr. Boogie but I’ll wait and see how it plays out.
It looks really good and pretty scary and creepy.
This actually looks like a decent horror film. And I like Ethan Hawk. Could the horror dry spell of the same thing over and over(Minus Cabin in the Woods) be actually over?
