Apple Premieres HD Green Band Trailer For ‘V/H/S’

It’s super surreal to see a dedicated iTunes page for our little movie. Even though you’ve already seen the red band bonanza for V/H/S, Apple is featuring the green band (work safe) version of the trailer that is on all Apple devices (including AppleTV), which is pretty effin’ sweet. Basically, you can now watch VHS footage in 1080p because, well, that makes a whole lotta sense…

Featuring the likes of Bloody Disgusting favorites Adam Wingard (You’re Next, A Horrible Way to Die, Pop Skull), Simon Barrett (You’re Next, Dead Birds, Red Sands), Ti West (The House of the Devil, The Roost, The Innkeepers), David Bruckner (The Signal), Joe Swanberg (Silver Bullets), Glenn McQuaid (I Sell the Dead), along with YouTube sensations Radio Silence, our quasi-anthology opens on various VOD platforms August 31 with a limited theatrical run beginning October 5. It also plays the Toronto After Dark summer series, Fantasia Film Festival and the UK Film4 FrightFest this summer.

When a group of petty criminals is hired by a mysterious party to retrieve a rare piece of found footage from a rundown house in the middle of nowhere, they soon realize that the job isn’t going to be as easy as they thought. In the living room, a lifeless body holds court before a hub of old television sets, surrounded by stacks upon stacks of VHS tapes. As they search for the right one, they are treated to a seemingly endless number of horrifying videos, each stranger than the last.

    Can’t August 31 come a bit sooner?

Well done guys, I hope this is the first of many forays into the film world. Perhaps a contest where readers can submit short horror scripts you will make into Youtube vids?
