A combination of Se7en meets Zodiac and Da Vinci Code comes Michael Bartlett’ (The Zombie Diaries) latest, Grandmaster.
“The script is based on true events that occurred in 1990, when Grandmaster Raymond Keene was approached by British Police to help them solve the disappearance of a young woman,” Bartlett tells us. “Her abductor signed a confession but would not reveal the location of the body – however, he would communicate all the necessary information through a cryptic chess diagram. The story made front page news all over the world including London and New York. Paramount tried to buy the rights, but Ray refused, opting to go for a UK TV series deal which collapsed … and here we are today.”
