Kevin Pollak revealed on his personal Twitter that he might be joining the cast of Kevin Smith’s Red State: “His offer still has that new car smell. How did you know…? RT @jose_marinjr Congrats on being cast in @ThatKevinSmith’s #REDSTATE,” he writes. He’d join Michael Parks, Kyle Gallner, Melissa Leo, Dermot Mulroney, Michael Angarano and Steven Root in the political/religious horror shooting this month. Red State is a horror film in which a group of misfits encounter fundamentalism gone to the extreme in Middle America. In it a group of kids encounter a crazed preacher (based on Fred Phelps, founder of the Westboro Baptist Church) who gives a whole new meaning to the term “extreme fundamentalism.
