Darker Forces At Play in New ‘Julia’s Eyes’ Clipage

While you can already dig on the opening scene beyond the break, inside you’ll also find a brand new clip from Guillem Morales’ Spanish Giallo thriller Julia’s Eyes (review), the latest Guillermo del Toro produced horror.

Julia returns to Bellevue with her husband to visit her sister Sarah, who is near blind due to a degenerative illness for which she has unsuccessfully undergone surgery. When they arrive, Julia finds that Sarah has taken her own life and none of her mysterious neighbors seem to be all that surprised. Julia has to confront not only the loss of her sister, but also the loss of all hope halting her own impending blindness, as she suffers from the same illness and would appear to be destined for the same end as her sister.

The film will be opening in the UK soon.

“The scene shows Julia (The Orphanage’s Belén Rueda) grappling with the mysterious death of her twin sister Sara (also Belén Rueda), when all kinds of sinister carry-ons start to take place. Sara’s death looked like suicide but Julia believes darker forces at a play, and it seems like she might be right. Well, that light didn’t turn itself off “- via Empire.
