Have you ever seen acclaimed music video director Kevin Shulman’s bloody 2007 short Eyes Of Samir? If you watch the graphically violent beheading clip inside, you’ll know why I’m excited to relay that shooting will begin in September on its feature-length adaptation. Its been re-titled Sara’s Cell and is slated to psychologically slam the public some time in 2012.
Jason Patric (Lost Boys, Narc) is rumored to be joining a cast that already includes Tony Todd (Candyman), Ken Foree (Dawn Of The Dead), Arnold Vosloo (Blood Diamond, The Mummy), and Elisabeth Rohm (Heroes) who’ll play the titular Sara Brown. The film will appear via Roxwell Films and is being produced by Jeremy Rosen.
Sara’s Cell, written by Kevin and Nathan Shulman, centers around celebrity reporter Sara Brown. Held captive by terrorists, she sits in a cell awaiting her filmed beheading. Sara’s captors wish to show the world the true face of terror but how can they, when even they have not seen it yet?
