The Writer of ‘I Spit On Your Grave 2′ Is…

I-Spit-on

I was a pretty big fan of Anchor Bay’s 2010 I Spit on Your Grave, their remake of Meir Zarchi’s 1978 cult classic about a writer who is brutalized during her cabin retreat seeks revenge on her attackers, who left her for dead.

Sarah Butler starred in the modern reboot directed by Steven R. Monroe.

The movie appeared to be well received in the horror community, and must have done quite well financially because, there’s more spit hitting the graveyard.

We can exclusively report that Saw IV and Chain Letter writer Thomas Fenton is officially tackling I Spit On Your Grave 2 for Cinetel. Pretty cool news!

No word on plot or if Monroe is returning. We’ll update you as soon as we know.

So the writer of two horrible horror movies is now writing a sequel to a film that doesn’t need a sequel….hmmmmm

Mr. D, i too, thought this remake was pretty decent. not near as good as the LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT remake but it was definitely decent. i DO agree w/ divisionbell that it really doesn’t need a remake but we’ll see. :)

Hahaha, division. So true. I actually enjoyed the remake of ISOYG more than the remake of Last House (even though neither touched the originals). This is another example of how I’m kind of perturbed that the industry is creating another film piggy-backing on a classic, but that I will also have to see. Fucking Leprechaun in the Hood…
