Tom Cruise Rocks ‘Aliens’-esque Armor In First ‘All You Need Is Kill’ Image!

Edge-of-Tomorrow-All-You-Need-is-Kill-

We’ve now landed a hi-res first ever look at Tom Cruise in All You Need Is Kill where he rocks futuristic armor that slightly reseambles something I’d expect to see in Aliens. Frankly, it looks pretty great.

Emily Blunt, Bill Paxton, Jonas Armstrong, Tony Way, Kick Gurry, Franz Drameh, Dragomir Mrsic and Charlotte Riley also star in the adaptation of Hiroshi Sakurazaka’s novel that centers on a soldier (Cruise) in a near-future war against aliens who relives his last day over and over after being killed. Through the training and battles he experiences in these time loops, he becomes a better soldier.

In theaters March 14, 2014, it’s sort of in the vein of Groundhog Day.

He looks like the mature version of Dexter (Dee Dee’s baby brother) in one of his robotic inventions.

Man, Tom Cruise is near the top of the list of actors I cannot stand. If I can get passed him the movie actually sounds like it could turn into something pretty good.

I love Tom Cruise, and I’m really glad he’s back on top again and doing a ton of movies after his career massively slumped after the whole thing on Oprah and his bizarre scientology…thing, and I’m stoked for this movie…but holy fuck his face is hilarious all smooshed up in that helmet on top of that big ridiculous robot suit. And of COURSE the first still is of him sprinting away from an explosion…he just does a LOT of sprinting in his movies, robot suits be damned.
