Over the weekend, Alan Moore (“Watchmen”, “V For Vendetta, “From Hell”) and Mitch Jenkins‘ new film, Jimmy’s End, was released online, for free. The film is part of a larger series that the duo are working on, titled The Show, involving the same characters and setting.
Jimmy’s End offers up a fanciful, disturbing, and oddly alluring 1950s neo-noir world. Not surprisingly, it strongly evokes a similar feeling to David Lynch’s more contemporary work with its unsettling dream-like quality and uncomfortable sexual tension. Below, you can check out Jimmy’s End in its entirety, along with the prequel Act of Faith. Go full screen and turn up those speakers to increase the bizarre.
