Barbara Hershey, pictured, is returning for Insidious Chapter 2, Deadline reports.

As she did in the first Insidious, the Oscar-nominated actress will play the role of Lorraine Lambert, the mother to Patrick Wilson’s Josh Lambert and the grandmother to the demon-possessed boy Dalton.

Wilson returns for the sequel to the horror pic as does Rose Byrne.

Production is set to start on the film in LA in early 2013.

FilmDistrict is set to release Insidious Chapter 2 on August 30, 2013.

I’m really curious to see what is going to happen in this one. Can’t wait for a trailer. Hopefully in front of The Conjuring!

Mary McFly, do us all a favor and just go to another site to get your “manly man” horror news. your post is so fucking stupid and ignorant that i feel bad for you. just go somewhere else instead of embarrassing yourself like you did here.

I agree! I mean everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I respect that, but I’ve hardly seen him like any movie that gets any kind of coverage on this site. It’s whatever though, Insidious: Chapter 2 is shaping up to be a sick movie!

Glad to see Hershey coming back. I LOVED Insidious. I went into it expecting a shitty and generic horror flick, but it surprised me a lot.

With all that said, I’m still nervous about Insidious 2. I dunno. The success rate of horror sequels isn’t too high, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed, and hoping for something good regardless.
