Update: Turns out there’s a bit of casting news. Colin Ford (pictured inside; We Bought A Zoo) is the first hame attached. Per Deadline, “Ford will play Joe, a teenager living in Chester’s Mill, a very smart kid who’s understandably freaked out when he discovers that the mysterious barrier covers the whole town — and both his parents are outside of it.”
CBS has set the bulk of its summer schedule, locking in premiere dates for the second season of “Unforgettable,” along with the new Steven Spielberg-Stephen King drama “Under The Dome”. “This is our most aggressive summer so far with original programming,” CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler said today.
The 13-episode “Under the Dome,” set in a small town suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome, will open Monday, June 24 and will air in the Monday 10 PM slot.
In “Under The Dome”, “On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester’s Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener’s hand is severed as “the dome” comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when — or if — it will go away.”
