Castleminer Z was the first Minecraft style game I ever played. That and Total Miner helped me get my world-building fix as I patiently waited for Minecraft’s debut on XBLA. Xbox Live’s Major Nelson revealed the best-selling indie games on XBLA last year, and both Castleminer Z and its less horrifying sibling Castleminer took the top two spots. That’s pretty impressive, but the good news doesn’t stop there. Developer DigitalDNA Games has been working on getting distribution on Steam Greenlight, and so far it seems to be doing well as they’ve recently confirmed that Castleminer Z has made it into the top 100 games on Greenlight. If you want to help them in their quest for distribution on Steam, you can vote for the game here.
