Progressive rock band The Mars Volta have hung up their coats and are no longer a band. Frontman Cedric Bixler-Zavala took to Twitter for a series of tweets explaining that he attempted to reunite the band after their hiatus for a N. American tour but that guitarist Omar Rodríguez-López simply “did not want to”.
The band released Noctourniquet last year but did not do any tour support for the album.
But Bosnian Rainbows was what we all got instead. I can’t sit here and pretend any more. I no longer am a member of Mars Volta. (cont-)
