‘Dead Space’ Meets ‘The Thing’ In This Insanely Cool Poster (That Would Look Amazing On My Wall)
There are mashup posters and then there are mashup posters, and it’s safe to say that this fan-made piece of art falls firmly into the latter category. Deviant Artist ron-guyatt has combined two of my favorite things: John Carpenter’s The Thing and Dead Space by featuring series’ protagonist Isaac Clarke in the iconic movie poster. It’s gorgeous and the timing is perfect with Dead Space 3 releasing next week — that’s February 5th for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. In it Clarke find himself in a situation familiar to fans of The Thing as he battles legions of Necromorphs on the icy planet of Tau Volantis. Reminds me too much of the scene in Back to the Future where Marty dons his Hazmat suit to order his Father to ask his Mother out to the school dance.
WOW! A poster combining two of my best loved horrors movie/game. They are such a perfect pairing together and what I want to know is, when the hell is a Dead Space movie going to get made? Its not like the game hasn’t got a compelling storyline and visuals that would be perfect for film. Rather then wasting the money on the so-so Thing Remake the powers that be should have been more original and brought Dead Space to the silver screen.
