[TV] Meet “Zombieland’s” New Wichita!

Amazon’s “Zombieland” pilot has found its female lead!

The Hollywood Reported states that “Vampire Diaries” and “Switched at Birth’s” Maiara Walsh, pictured, has booked the central role of Wichita in the comedic adaptation of the 2009 feature.

The comedy continues the events of the feature, with new actors taking over the roles of Columbus, Tallahassee and Wichita, previously played by Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson and Emma Stone, respectively, in the 2009 Ruben Fleischer feature.

Walsh will play Wichita, a natural con-woman and tough girl who with her younger sister Little Rock (Izabela Vidovic) teams up with Columbus (Tyler Ross) to survive the zombie apocalypse and search for survivors.

Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will pen the script for Sony Pictures Television, which is producing the Amazon pilot.

No real history to judge on since this will be Amazons first real foray into this medium. But am hopeful it will turnout good.

Same characters..but different actors? God damn, I am always skeptical when they do that shit. It worked for me for Spartacus but I don’t know about this one so much..

No… Noooo no no no. Valostar I aree with you. How my laptop is not flying into the wall,,, I don’t know. They could’ve easily made this into it’s own. And if a movie was ever planned, the characters could’ve met somehow, obviously. But this, at least to me, is the final nail in the coffin for any type of movie in the near,,,,,, ahhh f it.

Lame. I was really hoping Katrina Bowden would play the role. Would have been perfect for it and the show’s pilot director is the director of Tucker and Dale vs. Evil.

Uggghh, I do not like this. (Not the actress or anything) Just the fact that they’re using the same characters. Why not just make it in the same universe. I dunno. I’m not gonna cast it off quite yet, but It’s not winning me over in any kind of way.
