‘Resident Evil: Revelations’ Will Introduce New Enemies, Playable Rachel, Wii U Off-Screen Play

Capcom is doing a fine job making Resident Evil: Revelations for consoles enticing even if you already own it for the Nintendo 3DS. The upcoming high definition port will bring with it two new monsters, a playable Rachel in the cooperative Raid Mode, and Wii U-specific features. Only one of the two new monsters that are coming to the console and PC versions has been announced, and it’s called the Wall Blister. Yuck. If you’re planning on getting it on the Wii U, it will come with off-screen play, which means you can play it in another room while someone else uses the TV, and it will also make use of the console’s social network. See all that and more in the pretty substantial batch of new screenshots I have waiting for you after the jump.

In related news, Hunk and Rachel will both be playable at PAX East this weekend, alongside upcoming survival horror games Daylight and Outlast.

Resident Evil: Revelations comes to the PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U on May 21.
