New ‘Evil Dead’ Poster Has A Different Image But Starts Out Small…

As we’re getting down to the wire there’s another poster for Fede Alvarez’s Evil Dead, the remake to Sam Raimi’s horror classic that stars Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Elizabeth Blackmore and Jessica Lucas. I loved the film (my review here) so, while this poster is currently too small to read where the quotes are coming from, I know at least one of them is mine.

In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends who become holed up in a remote cabin where they discover a Book Of The Dead. An archaeologist’s tape recording reveals that the ancient text was discovered among the Khandarian ruins of a Sumerian civilization. Playing the taped incantations, the youths unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

FilmDistrict and TriStar will unleash Hell on April 5. Head inside for the TINY poster (we’ll update with a bigger one as it becomes available).

    • djblack1313

Evan nope. not at all! actually i’m in a great mood. i can just tell the difference between a bad poster and a good one! you should try it sometime. 🙂

      • Kroork

Can we all please just stick to opinions and not make personal attacks. Peace love and all that junks 😀 “kumbaya my lord, kumbaya” lol

        • EvanDickson

Neither Dj or I were making personal attacks. We’re all good he and me

          • djblack1313

LOL! that’s true! Evan & i are just joking! 🙂

          • Workshed86

This strikes me just as when you see two kids fighting on the playground, and when the teacher asks what is going on they both insist they’re just playing.

I think the poster is fine, and I certainly don’t think slamming it and those who like it is something that needs to happen here.

            Take care!

  • Kroork

I actually really like it. I hate the placement of the title but other then that I think it’s great!

  • Gas-Man

    I like it.

The quotes work, the image doesn’t. Who decided that was okay? lol

  • DarrelDreadful

I like the image as an image not really a “poster” though. I would have loved for them to had done some more retro-styled posters. They could have really been more creative than just using images from the movie.

  • djblack1313

Evan, i think i’d like it more without the quotes.

  • Joe-Banger

I think that poster is ok, it could be better though. I dont want to see to much in the trailers or the posters before seeing this film.
