Korean ‘Maniac’ Poster Gets Sympathetic

Still unbelievably stoked for Franck Khalfoun’s Maniac (which Mr. Disgusting calls a masterpiece), starring Elijah Wood. It hits select theaters and VOD platforms June 21. I’m not sure when the release date for South Korea is, but they’ll be seeing this “modern horror classic” (review here) too, as evidenced by their poster.

In the remake, “Just when the streets seemed safe, a serial killer with a fetish for scalps is back and on the hunt. Frank (Wood) is the withdrawn owner of a mannequin store, but his life changes when young artist Anna appears asking for his help with her new exhibition. As their friendship develops and Frank’s obsession escalates, it becomes clear that she has unleashed a long-repressed compulsion to stalk and kill.

Poor maniac. He became crazy over his photoshopped head.

Lol @ dr.lamb. I really want to see what they do with this. Whats weird is that I’m still not completely sold on Elijah Wood in this role. But it looks really good on the surface.
