AOL Pulls The Plug On Comics Alliance

Robot 6 reports that AOL, the parent company of Comics Alliance, has shut down the popular comic book website. This move was set in motion on Friday amid the closings of AOL Music and several music news and video sites.

Launched originally by Laura Hudson, Comics Alliance became favorite place on the web for reviews, humor pieces, and witty articles. The staff consisted of journalists Caleb Goellner, Chris Sims, Andy Khouri and David Brothers. Hudson left the site in 2012, and was replaced by Joe Hughes.
