As I’ve said before, I love it when you lovely, amazing readers send me things to check out. I get to see and hear things that would’ve normally slipped entirely under my radar.
Such is the case with Robotmonkeyarm and their three-part EP that is heavily influenced by the works of Goblin (Suspiria) and Ennio Morricone (The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly, John Carpenter’s The Thing). Utilizing and blending surf rock with rich instrumentation, the EP sounds like a wonderful throwback to the great horror movies of the 70’s and early 80’s.
The group has also mentioned via their Facebook page that they are working on a fourth entry into the EP series, so we’ll keep an ear open to make sure we let you know when it comes out. Meanwhile, listen to the trilogy below!
