Recently the metal world suffered a tragic blow when original Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman passed away due to liver failure at the age of 49. The band was one of the purveyor’s of the thrash metal scene and his loss was keenly felt by fans and musicians alike.
For those who wish to pay their respects, a memorial celebration will be held Thursday, May 23rd at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles from 3:30pm to 7:30pm. It will be a free celebration, all ages, and is available to the public on a first-come, first-in basis.
