Today is the birthday of one of the greatest horror icons in the history of our beloved genre: Christopher Lee. This is the man who played Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, The Mummy, Rasputin, Lord Summerisle, etc…, and that’s not even scratching the surface of this historic actor’s filmography.
Now, what better way to celebrate the birthday of this amazing actor than by snagging his new album, Charlemagne: The Omens Of Death, which came out today?
Lee states, “The first ‘Charlemagne’ album is metal, of course, but what I sang was more symphonic. Now on the second one, ‘The Omens Of Death’, it is 100% heavy metal. I’ve done my bits and pieces, and they are heavy metal. I’m not screaming or anything like that, but it is definitely heavy metal.”
You can buy the album on iTunes. Below is a trailer/interview with Lee regarding the album.
