Here’s a fun little Insidious Chapter 2 teaser image that promises “you’re never alone.” It depicts hands coming through the walls…

Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, Ty Simpkins, Barbara Hershey, Leigh Whannell, Angus Sampson, Andrew Astor, Jocelin Donahue, Danielle Bisutti, Lindsay Seim all star in the hot sequel directed once again by Saw‘s James Wan.

In theaters September 13, “The haunted Lambert family seeks to uncover the mysterious childhood secret that has left them dangerously connected to the spirit world.

As she did in the first Insidious, Oscar-nominated Hershey will play the role of Lorraine Lambert, the mother to Patrick Wilson’s Josh Lambert and the grandmother to the demon-possessed boy Dalton.

Nice. I hope this movie is really good.

    Sweet…
I don’t think people realise quite how awesome James Wan is.
    Can’t wait for this.

I agree Death Sentence and Dead Silence are so underrated also he just took over the Fast & Furious franchise.

Insidious is one of my all-time favorites. Definitely one of the best in a long time. The 2nd looks like it won’t disappoint. Same with The Conjuring, which looks amazing. James Wan is a modern master of horror.

Insidious was a horrendous movie. The first half was one of the creepiest, unsettling movies I’ve ever seen. Then the Geek Squad showed up and I was left going “WTF?” What a waste of a potentially great movie.

    • hrvstrsrrw

I could not agree with you more! I thought the first half was fantastic. The 2nd half, with the “geek squad” and Darth Maul dancing to tiny tim completely killed it for me. So unfortunate.

i agree guys. the first half of the movie was fantastic and creepy as all fuck. then once the “comedy” relief guys come in coupled with the lame “otherworld” (or whatever it’s called) happened the movie stunk. although the last 5 or 6 minutes was pretty good too!

        • lhcameron

i COMPLETELY agree djblack . The first half of the movie was creepy as hell!! but then when the whole “further” realm came into play my face was like O_o …

      • Darkness69

Haha, now I remembered the Darth Maul guy behind the main character still, so funny! I guess not exactly the type of thing you want as a reaction when you’re doing a horror movie. Also, yes, I agree with all of you here, the second part felt not as fleshed out as the first one, let’s put it that way. The music was also not that creepy, I guess they were going for the classic contradiction style “horror movie – joyful/children’s music”, but with the “Tulips” it wasn’t quite successful.

Btw after seeing the first trailer for conjuring i was STOKED for the movie but after the second trailer im kind of worried…James seems to be stealing his OWN elements from Insidious (for example in the trailer with the person appearing behind Patrick Wilson) …and Conjuring is kind of looking too much like Insidious

    • DarrelDreadful

Well I wouldnt say he’s stealing his elements. A lot of directors have signatures they put in their movies. Another one of James would be the “spiral” that shows up in his films. I still understand what you’re saying though.

  • DarrelDreadful

I really enjoyed Insidious and Im looking forward to this one because they’re sticking with the same family which is intriguing. I could have done without the comic relief also in the first but it didnt take me out of the film. And I thought the otherworld was pretty freaky and unexpected.

  • DragonSlayer111

Pretty pumped! First one was surprised me with how good it was.

  • WalkWithMeInDarkness

I, for one, love all of Insidious. All the stuff in The Further gives the movie a really weird vibe, which I like. To me, it made the third a lot more memorable than the typical haunted house movie ending, where they try to cleanse the house or something. Just my thoughts, I can see why many people would be put off when the movie starts in such an old fashioned, creepy as hell way and then goes off into another world.

  • WalkWithMeInDarkness

Sorry, i meant to say “third act”.
