New ‘Hatchet III’ Images Deliver Insane Amounts Of Gore!!!

Hatchet 3 Hatchet III

In limited theaters June 14 from MPI/Dark Sky Films, Arrow in the Head landed a stack of insanely gory new stills from BJ McDonnell’s hotly anticipated Hatchet III!

The sequel marks the directorial debut of BJ McDonnell who previously has handled A and B camera operations on such features as Rob Zombie’s Halloween remake, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, and the first two Hatchet films. Danielle Harris and Kane Hodder return in Hatchet III and are joined by Zach Galligan (Gremlins), Derek Mears (Friday the 13th 2009), Caroline Williams (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2), Sean Whalen (The People Under the Stairs) and others.

The film continues the tale of the now-iconic villain Victor Crowley (Kane Hodder). As a search and recovery team heads into the haunted swamp to pick up the pieces and carnage left behind from the first two films, Marybeth (Danielle Harris) hunts down the true secret to ending the voodoo curse that has left the ghost of Victor Crowley haunting and terrorizing Honey Island Swamp for decades.

I really hope this is better than the second but I feel like its still going to be too corny to enjoy. Guess we’ll see. Nice use of blood as usual.

Darrel, i feel the same way.

Oh, HELLS YES. To this kid, Hatchet equals the purest egalitarian form of slasher. Blood, guts, and little if any pretension.

Not sure how I feel about this new Crowley look, but my gut’s telling me this is going to be better than the 2nd (which I liked too).

Freddy, i thought his face looked different but i wasn’t really sure.

His face probably looks different because it was beat to shit at the end of the last movie.

If that’s true, it should look WAAAAAAY fucking worse. I think he actually looks less deformed in this one than the first two. Are they just ignoring the events of the second one here?
